Part one journeys along the riverside taking in the new American Embassy and other interesting sites and arrives at the regenerated Battersea power station where Barrie will tell you all about its history and the massive and fantastic new development.
Part two allows the group to wander, maybe have lunch or a coffee and snack and take in the new Power station complex and immerse oneself in the brilliance of what has been accomplished in the amazing redevelopment of the area…..or just sit by the riverside
one hour allowed.....maybe not enough !!
Part three takes us into one of Londons most beautiful yet un appreciated parks where you will be told about the history of its golden years as part of the Festival of Britain with one of Londons greatest attractions long since forgotten until now. Barrie brings it all back to life with photos and stories of his youth and his memories of great days out back in the 1950’s and `60’s.
Ending with coffee etc from one of the stalls in the park
